The Great Cop 'n Cat Chase is the first part of the third episode of the series Heathcliff and Dingbat. This is based on Heathcliff, rather than Dingbat. It is followed by second part of the episode: Milk Run Mayhem.
Synopsis[]
After Heathcliff stolen a hotdog from Officer Casey, the officer tries to track down the feline offender.
Plot[]
The episode starts off with Heathcliff spotting Officer Casey ordering a hotdog from a local hotdog vendor Tony as he gives his hotdog, Heathcliff quickly stolen the cop's hotdog in high sppreds by a fast orange blur, the cop then wonders how his hotdog vanished Tony say he seen a blur of black and orange stripes to what happen to his hotdog, the cop realizes upon the details that it was Heathcliff as he tracks down the orange fugitive with a maginifying glass, Heathcliff hides and runs out the scene to a brick wall as Officer Casey chases the footprints, Heathcliff replaced the sign with the "Danger City Dump Pit" the cop follows the prints and hears Heathcliff voice that leaded him to the pit falling as Officer Casey decides to go "undercover".
Heathcliffs walks by the fish mart to recieves a giant fish with as to Heathcliff delatiate Officer Casey is secretly inside the fish, Heathcliff tries to make it tenderized by slamming it to the ground repeativly, he then chops it with Officer Casey's awareness, Heathcliff then chops the fish with the saw before going for the head, Officer Casey does a retreat before chopping the hand, Heathcliff points the disguise and giggles.
Officer Casey gets his police bike at Police HQ (which is short for police headquarters short). Heathcliff beliving the law would get off his case, Officer Casey goes on full-pursue to Heathcliff with the cat running away from him. The cop uses a rope to catch the feline fugitive successfully getting the cat, but Heathcliff uses scissors to cut the rope landing on a end of the seat handle of a bike, fling the biker out of the vehicle, Officer Casey then notice the cat rode off on a motocycle, as Heathcliff makes a turn to escape from the cop. Officer Casey then goes by to as "Blazing Biker Casey", as Heathclif noticed their heading through a construction zone that has a broken road, jumping out of the bike left to balance on a tire. Officer Casey attempts at making the jump despite it being unsafe. He proceeds and jumps but damage his police bike after jumping off between two sides of the roads but makes to the other side to continue the pursue after Heathcliff. Heathcliff then offers the cop to call it truce before a real accident happens, but Officer Casey refuses until he catches him. With the cop not watching the road as soon as the cop turns his eyes in the road he sees a road flattener coming towards him, he screams in shock. Officer Casey fortunately avoid safely but his bike is destoryed by the roller-compactor. Officer Casey starts crying due to him failing to catching the rebellious alley cat, Heathcliff settles a deal with the sobering Officer Casey as the cops listens.
Officer Casey would play along like that he successfully was arresting Heathcliff as for his end of the deal he takes him and Heathcliff to a diner called Cafe Ritz to enjoys a mea together at the place. As Casey asks if he needs anything, Heathcliff then says when they discuss it tommorow to finally getting out of the cop's beat, Officer Casey burst into tears again when he has to do this routine again. Heathcliff then winks as the cat laughs until the episode ends.
