The very first Heathcliff comic strip (September 3rd, 1973)
Heathcliff is a comic strip created by American cartoonist George Gately, that started on September 3rd, 1973 and is still currently running to this day (as of 2022). George Gately was the illustrator of the comics until his retirement in 1998 and his death in 2001. His nephew, Peter Gallagher, has been the current illustrator of the comic strip since 1998. It has been adapted into three animated shows and a movie.
