Crazy Shirley is a character from the Heathcliff comic strip. She is a female cat with a major crush on Heathcliff, despite his preference for Sonja. However, this doesn't deter Crazy Shirley from pursuing him, especially since she never takes "no" for an answer! She has appeared in the original George Gately comics, Heathcliff and Marmaduke, and the Heathcliff comic series from Marvel Comics.
Character Overview[]
Crazy Shirley is the kind of girl to pursue Heathcliff just as heatedly like Spike would, except for romantic reasons. She will literally stop at nothing in her obsessive chase to make Heathcliff her tomcat boyfriend.
Personality[]
She is obsessive like a groupie at a concert, and hard to shake off like a heat-seeking missile.
Appearance[]
Crazy Shirley is white cat with a blonde ponytail tied back with a red ribbon, bangs, thick eyelashes, a big red nose like that of a clown, and prominent buck teeth.
Relationships[]
Friends[]
Heathcliff[]
Crazy Shirley has a crush on him and often goes after him in order to make him her boyfriend.
Neutral/Enemies[]
Sonja[]
Shirley and Sonja are considered rivals for Heathcliff's affections, which is why they don't get along. They often fight over him whenever they interact. If Crazy Shirley attempts to kiss Heathcliff in Sonja's presence, Sonja will not hesitate to chase her off.
Despite their rivalry, Shirley and Sonja are sometimes willing to put aside their differences to spend time with Heathcliff. They have been seen occasionally being friendly towards each other in some strips.
